WebRTC means Web Real Time Communication.
It makes possible P2P communication on WebBrowsers.
......iOS?
Actually, from 2014 early, iOS was out of WebRTC main stream.
Because of a decision Ericsson made.
There is the WebBrowser named "Bowser".
It's not Browser, but Bowser.
In japan, Bowser is known as the character "KUPPA".
He is the Boss of enemies of the well-known greatest character in the world, MARIO.
By the way, Bowser browser is the first browser in the world for iOS with WebRTC.
However, Ericsson made a decision to discontinue to distribute on AppStore.
WebRTC is going to be important aspect of web communications.
Until now, center of this development is Google.
Reasons are follows, may be.
1. Apple has "Facetime"
WebRTC's development will make the world doesn't need these applications.
Now, late 2014, Ericsson has came back with OpenWebRTC on WebRTC main stream.
OpenWebRTC is an OSS to develop WebRTC on some environments.
And Ericsson has began to distribute Bowser on AppStore again.
Happy WebRTC life!
